Charged into debt and suspended by forgetting to cancel service
I had purchased some type of hosting with them 2 years ago and never actually cancelled the service, since my card was terminated by the bank anyway. But 2 years later, totally unaware of this, I was trying to purchase a VPS service with a new account; at first everything was fine, and I tried to link my card to billing. After a couple of tries, the account was suspended for some reason, and I was told to deposit $10 to unfreeze the account; after the deposit, the account was suspended again shortly after. Support said it was because I had unpaid debt in 2024 now asking me to pay another 25$ to reactivate the account. Customers don't have a responsibility to keep an eye out for overdue payments; it's Kamatera's fault for keep on providing the service after payments have failed. KEEP AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
