G2G

Legitimate Site with some illegitimate Sellers. Buy at your own risk.

I made two purchases a month apart-one for a boost and one for a Xbox Gift Card. The boost experience was great, the gift card experience was awful. I purchased because Xbox recently hiked their subscription prices and this seller was selling a gift card at a discounted price. Well stupid me for thinking I was getting a deal. The amateur seller, yet with over 200+(lifetime) positive reviews, sends me a code with a one in it. Anyone that knows Microsoft's products is aware this is an immediate red flag as they do not issue any codes with a 1 in the United States. Further inspection of the seller's recent reviews were all negative with frustrated customers that all received erroneous codes. While G2G isn't directly at fault, it's still their responsibility to moderate their sellers. The influx of negative reviews in such a short timeframe should have triggered an alert. Consumer protection still needs to be your No 1 priority and taking 3+ days for a resolution is unacceptable. The seller did offer to send "another different working code..." Oh, ANOTHER different working code? Please. I cancelled immediately. Still got screwed out of the $2.50 transaction fee BS. But the headache being gone? Priceless. If you don't mind running into the occasional amateur seller, knock yourself out. I'd say check the sellers reviews but that didn't help me one iota. My overall recommendation is believe the old adage--"If it's too good to be true, it probably is." Pay the extra couple bucks and avoid the worry. Piece of mind is more important than $15 extra bucks. ***3 Stars-My boost went smoothly with a great seller and I was able to get refunded for the GC. 2 stars off for allowing shady, broke-bad sellers to continue to operate and disrupt customers' purchasing experience.
