The platform itself is probably great but that isnt enough to keep your users around long enough for your website builder to be usable
The platform itself is probably great. The website builder is not. I've spent over two months trying to build a landing page and still can't get it done. There are thousands of complaints online saying the same thing, so I know it isn't just me. I've been ready to launch my newsletter and bring my 265k audience over to Beehiiv, and the builder is the one thing standing in my way. I tried hiring designers who know the platform and got quoted $5,000 and up, like it's a full custom website. That alone tells you how painful this thing is to work with. The AI builder doesn't help either. It spits out some of the worst vibe-coded slop I've seen. Now, I will admit that I don't want a boring template and need more complex things to make it truly stand out so the complexity of my design ideas is about 10% self-inflicted. But for a company this size, building something that looks good shouldn't feel impossible. 0/10.
