I had one of the worst experiences ever with Gname.com. I backordered a domain through their platform, and once it was acquired, it was registered through NameBright — with all of my WHOIS information publicly exposed without my consent. I NEVER approved making my personal info public. This is a serious privacy violation and puts my data at risk. What kind of system exposes your customer’s private data by default without warning? Completely reckless and unprofessional. To make matters worse, there was zero communication, no notice, and no help afterward. Gname’s handling of domain privacy is not just poor — it’s downright dangerous. If you value your privacy and expect a company to protect your information, stay far away from Gname. Shady, irresponsible, and untrustworthy. I will never use them again.
