What people say

First of all

First of all, I want to thank the GNAME team for taking my report seriously and acting on the evidence I provided. For me, this was not just about reporting a suspicious website. I was a victim of this scam and lost ARS 225,000, so having my complaint heard and seeing action taken made a real difference. I appreciate the communication and the opportunity to provide additional evidence throughout the process. Your response showed me that reporting abuse can actually make a difference. My main recommendation would be to make the reporting process even faster and more transparent, especially for cases involving online scams and financial losses. Clear updates at each stage, along with stronger action against related domains and payment infrastructure, could help protect more people before they become victims. Thank you for your work and for helping prevent others from experiencing the same situation. I hope GNAME continues improving its abuse prevention process and remains committed to making the internet a safer place for everyone. Best regards, Adrián

Thank You for Abuse Action and Request…

Thank You for Abuse Action and Request for Proactive Enforcement Dear Gname Abuse Team, Thank you for promptly reviewing our abuse reports and taking appropriate action, including placing wjz01.icu under Client Hold (Case No. GW2026101415175746). However, we urge Gname to adopt a more proactive approach to prevent these fraudulent networks from repeatedly launching identical scam websites under new domain names, rather than requiring victims to discover and report each new domain individually. We also respectfully request that victims’ NPRD disclosure and RDRS requests concerning suspended domains be handled fairly, promptly, and without unnecessary procedural obstacles. Unfortunately, this network continues to operate through another domain under your registrar services: tvh.ckys01.icu uqs.1l1ec.shop We sincerely hope you will take appropriate action against this domain without requiring another abuse report. Otherwise, I will continue to fulfil my human duty to protect potential victims and report the abuse, without hesitation or embarrassment, as I have done before. Thank you for your continued cooperation in combating cybercrime and protecting victims. Kind regards, Recai Genç Direct Financial Fraud Victim / Cybercrime Whistleblower & Researcher

Prompt response to domain abuse reports, but master account actions are needed Gname’s abuse team acts relatively quickly when specific abuse reports are submitted, taking down individual fraudulent domains (such as placing them on ClientHold). However, dealing with domain-hopping syndicates on a domain-by-domain basis is inefficient. A more proactive approach at the master-account level, along with smoother compliance regarding ICANN Section 10 data disclosure requests for active law enforcement cases, would significantly improve their platform security.

We lost $15000 on this platform.

We lost $15000 on this platform. Beware, you can be scammed on this website. We purchased a 4-letter domain using their service but the Gname did not run any background checks whether the domain was genuine or stolen. After a few days, the domain was taken back from our account. Gname did not take any responsibility of and didn't even try to help, rather they acted like it was our mistake to purchase the domain and asked us to follow up with Chinese seller.

Hello. We take a loss of this size seriously. Every domain on GNAME goes through thorough filters and automated checks before it is listed. We want to review how this case was handled and confirm the process worked as designed. Would you update your review with the domain name and your order ID or send through an email to [email protected]. We will make sure our team reviews the case again.

Fast and effective abuse handling

We reported multiple fraudulent lookalike domains impersonating our webshop to Gname's abuse team. The reporting process via their online form was clear, and several cases were reviewed and put on client hold within just a day or two - much faster than we expected. Good communication throughout and a straightforward resolution. Would recommend their abuse handling process to other brand owners dealing with domain impersonation.

Excellent response and support

Excellent response and support from Gname. I reported a domain involved in phishing and brand impersonation, and I was very impressed with how quickly the case was handled. The domain was taken down, helping prevent further abuse and protecting potential victims. The reporting process was straightforward, and I really appreciate Gname’s responsiveness and commitment to addressing abuse. Thank you to the team for taking action so efficiently
