I had a terrible experience with Agoda. Their advertisement and booking page clearly stated that the hotel reservation could be cancelled for free before August 27. Trusting this, I made the booking. However, when I tried to cancel within the stated period, the system refused to allow free cancellation and attempted to charge me instead. This is completely misleading and feels like a deliberate trick to lure customers into booking. Such dishonest practices not only waste customers’ time but also cause financial loss and stress. Transparency and trust are the most basic requirements for a booking platform, and Agoda has failed both. Based on my experience, I strongly advise everyone not using Agoda to make the bookings
