CompAsia

Refurbished device with issues.

They are trustworthy in terms of they do deliver the device as agreed but their device is really unreliable. I have been eyeing for a second hand iPhone 12 purple for quite some time now as the Nothing Phone 1 that I have no one will have the parts to repair if anything happens. Because of this, I decided to get the five years old model iPhone 12 as I am not a person who likes to get the latest device and flaunts. I was really excited to get my iPhone 12 purple and it looked pristine in condition in terms of aesthetics wise. The phone capacity that I got is 128GB which is the only option of having. I have to protect the phone like as though this phone is a baby. I brought an anti-shock case, anti-privacy matter anti-blue ray screen protector and a back protector. This is how much I love that iPhone 12. At the same time, I have issues with the phone. The the battery health was indeed at 85 percent but it was bloated according to the Chinese man from Flash Man Fix. I got the battery changed at the price of fifty bucks but it is not an original battery from Apple as an error message still can be seen. On September 29, 2025, I got a courtesy call from one of the Comp Asia agents. I was already sick and the man called me to ask me about my experience with the iPhone 12. Negative of course but it was still nice to get a courtesy call from them. Since I had already done the repair with a third party and the warranty was already voided naturally. After the man replaced the non-original battery twice within two days, I could still notice that the battery still drained pretty fast. Within 10 minutes of hardly used, it dropped 8 percent. Within about 30 minutes, it dropped another 5 percent. After 1 hour and 15 minutes, it dropped another 7 percent. From 58 percent battery life to 38 percent battery life within about 1 hour and 45 minutes, I don't think it is justifiable. I have to bring it to Mister Mobile to get the motherboard changed and honestly I feel that they should cough out $180 in total for me instead despite the fact that I did a third party repair but it is their device after all. If the motherboard can be replaced by Mister Mobile, replacing the motherboard of the device is as good as a refurbished device. I have to say that the price I paid for my iPhone 12 is really not worth the money. There is really no need for me to lie about the matter because I have the receipts of all the repair I had done. I will upload the photos on Google review once I can get a confirmation from Mister Mobile that if the motherboard can be replaced.
