What attracted me to Wordpress was its free subdomain name (yourdomain.wordpress.com). While I did successfully create a rough website with Wordpress, its usability and functionality is incredibly difficult even for someone like myself who has two other websites with a different web client. Ultimately, I believe what intimidates people about websites is that they seem technologically complicated. Having successfully built other websites using other web platforms, I have witnessed how these platforms take the complication of websites and shave it down to bite size pieces a typical person could easily digest. As a former user, I do not believe Wordpress provides that platform for that typical person.
