Two failures in under two years — disappointing durability and support
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience is worth sharing. I purchased a Travelpro suitcase in March 2024. Within a year, the handle broke. While the company did eventually replace it, it took weeks of back-and-forth with customer service, and I encountered the same kind of resistance and limited offers that I’m experiencing again now. Unfortunately, the replacement suitcase has also failed in under a year—both bottom corners have broken, making it unreliable for travel. This is not normal wear and tear, especially for a brand that positions itself as durable and travel-ready. When I contacted customer service again, I was told the parts are unavailable and was ultimately offered up to a 35% discount toward another purchase. After two failures, being asked to spend more money on the same product line doesn’t feel like a reasonable solution. This experience suggests a larger issue with durability, particularly in high-impact areas like corners, as well as inconsistency in how customer issues are handled. I would strongly caution frequent travelers or anyone checking bags regularly. I had hoped for a better long-term experience from this brand, but unfortunately that hasn’t been the case.
