Dress in terrible condition, customer service a joke

I used the try-on program to order a dress for my daughter. It arrived covered in stains and reeking of perfume - clearly used for an event and returned. When I contacted customer service I received a canned response saying they were sorry for the inconvenience and I could return at no charge. Well yeah, that’s the point of the program! So I paid $10 (non-refundable) to try a dress that was in awful condition, have to go out of my way to send it back, and if I want to reorder a dress in maybe new condition, I have to pay the shipping and it might not arrive in time for the event. Update: I received a response that the try-on program is to see the colors and try the sizes so they may come with imperfections. This is not how it is advertised, considering the website says if you want to keep the dress you tried on you pay for it with % discount. If they are going to make it a habit to send used dresses not worthy of keeping it should be stated in their policies for the program.
