Scheels

The Height of Hypocrisy: Scheels’ Price Match is a Fraudulent Sham

Scheels is a company that operates on "Rules for thee, but not for me." I attempted to use their advertised Price Match Policy. After they forced me to create an account (harvesting my data), they denied the match because the competitor wasn't "BBB Accredited," claiming that meant they weren't an "authorized dealer." Here is the kicker: SCHEELS IS NOT BBB ACCREDITED. Their agent (I have the screenshots) explicitly told me that lack of BBB accreditation equals a lack of authorization. If that’s the case, Scheels just admitted they aren't authorized to sell their own inventory. When I brought this to a manager, he called it a "miscommunication." It wasn't. It was a calculated lie used to protect their margins. They lure you in with the promise of a price match, take your data, and then move the goalposts with fake requirements they don't even meet themselves. They are intellectually dishonest and treat their customers like fools. Avoid their "Price Match" gimmick at all costs.
