I had basically gave up on contracting projects
I've always been skittish about contracting projects with services like this because it feels like a roll of the dice, so we miss out on the potential benefits of leveraging contract workers. I gave lemon.io a go and so far have been blown away. It is exactly what I would hope for and mitigates every downside of platforms like Upwork, as far as I can tell. White-glove service from the first interaction. I'd love to meet the CEO of this company to hear about their past struggles with contracting developers which surely drove them to create this platform. This is our first project with them, but if it continues going this well we're super lucky to have discovered a great service that we can dump loads of other projects on in the future. So glad that I gave them a try.
