SkyTab

SCAMMERS!!

I wish there was a negative star system for reviews. SkyTab was originally my favorite POS system - yes, there were hidden fees, but the overall experience was good enough to not worry about it. Until the building we rented was sold and we had to close our business 10/31/25. I called in early October to tell them that we would have to return our equipment soon because we were being forced to close. The CS rep told me that we would have to pay through 12/6 of '25 to avoid an early termination fee, to which I had no problem with. So we closed 10/31/25, paid them until 12/6/25, and I received an email telling me that the account was closed and to watch for an email for equipment return authorization. I waited until 1/12/26 & then called to say that I hadn/t received return authorization yet (Feb 6 was the deadline). After the 4th attempt, I found out the RA was sent by UPS, not Shift4, so I found the email from UPS, printed the labels, and shipped out the equipment. Took them over a month to acknowledge receipt of the equipment. On 2/12/26, we received notice that our bank account was debited $2500. Assuming that the return acknowledgement & the debit had happened close enough together that it was plausible they had incorrectly charged us for not returning the equipment, I called as was told a credit would be issued. On 3/16/26, I was told that the charge which had not been refunded was not for equipment, but for early termination!! The person literally had the email, from them, stating that if we paid through 12/6/25, there would be no early termination fee, yet said, "That is incorrect information that was given to you, so there will be no refund". She also said that even though I signed a one year agreement, they automatically renew it yearly, so be aware of that. So...now I guess we have to lawyer up to get our money back from the SCAMMERS1
