Target

Targe took no responsibility for selling a damaged pressed wood table advertised as acacia from unreliable vendor

I received a damaged Garvee table that was not made from acacia, as advertised, but was laminated pressed board and had a badly damaged table top. Garvee repeatedly misled me regarding getting me a replacement part. But before I realized I was being misled, based on the company's assurances, a friend spent multiple hours putting together parts so the table would be ready for a function that would happen 2 days after the replacement table top was to arrive on Friday. No part arrived. On Monday I was told the part would take 2 to 4 months! And there would be no opportunity to speak to a person with the authority to correct the problem. Target's only response was for me to find boxes and bring the almost 90 pounds of parts back to the store for a refund. A very challenging task for someone with my physical limitations. No apology or even acknowledgement for advertising a pressed board table as wood. No apology for selling products from a company that didn't stand behind their product. Targets response was to figure out a way to get it back to a store or forget about a refund. Then when I tried to write a product review on Target's site, to warn people about the product and the vendor, I got an error message that said I was not able to.
