Shady (at best) subscription setup
I was interested in this service and in connecting with a tutor. The final contact tutor page said I would only be charged if the tutor accepted my request. As the tutor did not accept (for a sensible reason), I imagined I wouldn't be charged. I have now been charged £127 over three instalments for the "student pass subscription". After a long back and forth, the first payment has been refunded, but the two subscription payments have not been - this is clearly a system designed to trick customers, and I think it may be in breach of consumer protection regulations. It may be a good service (I never actually connected with a tutor), but this student pass setup is appalling commercial practice and reflects very poorly on the business as a whole.
