EaseUS

Avoid This Company

After chat sessions, I purchased a one-month subscription to the Partition Manager. No sooner had I done that, than I discovered that they had activated an auto-renew function. Then, the software would install, but not function. Tech support wanted to access my computer, to which I did not agree. In theory I will get a refund within a couple of days. Let's see. Totally unimpressive from a vendor that claims to have been in business for years. For the record, the refund has already been received ahead of schedule. The vendor's attempt to transfer responsibility to me is disingenuous - I had already had a documented chat declining to purchase a one year license because it would be a one-time use. It's also disingenuous because I had asked the representative to make the chat history available to me. I was given instructions to get it by email, which I followed, and I still have no copy of the chat history. It's also disingenuous because the offer to be helpful if anything else could be done, since there's no way to contact the person, or bot, making the offer. It's also self-serving because the software simply did not run properly on a garden-variety Lenovo computer despite repeated installations, reboots, and disconnecting every drive from the computer. Finally, the uninstall procedure is incomplete, and I spent about an hour manually removing EaseUS from the Windows Registry using RegEdit. That's not what you expect from commercial software. I stick by my rating: Avoid This Company, you should not expect to have a good experience, even if you do get your money back.
