The platform still feels unstable in…
Updating my review after the resolution. To their credit, the support team confirmed in writing that my payment method was removed and my account deleted, with before and after screenshots, and no extra charges. The handling of the final steps was professional. The reason this is 2 stars is the underlying design, not the staff. To remove a saved card, xCloud requires deleting your entire account. There is no way to simply remove a payment method on its own. On top of that, the free plan requires a credit card on file to activate. For anyone who just wants to detach a card, being forced to choose between keeping the card stored or losing the whole account is not reasonable. The team was helpful once I pushed and asked for written confirmation at every step. But users should not have to delete their account, or chase support for confirmation, just to remove a card. I hope xCloud adds a simple remove payment method option in account settings. ============================= The platform still feels unstable in some areas such as backups, staging, and billing management. I contacted support because I wanted my saved payment card removed. Public replies from xCloud mention that accounts can be downgraded to a Free Plan and cards can then be removed. However, support initially told me the only way to remove the card was to delete the entire account. After I explained my concern that users cannot verify card removal once the account is deleted, support finally said they would send a confirmation email, but they still would not clearly confirm whether that email would explicitly state that the payment method had been permanently removed and that no future billing remained associated with the account. The overall process feels unclear and unnecessarily stressful for something as sensitive as payment method management.
