Very Limited Selection - Intrusive website features
Because Vitacost is closing, I am looking for a new online source of health food and environmentally good products. In order to see what products Thrive Market carried, I had to become a member and pay for a subscription. I found that it carried very few of the products I use, and half the ones it carried were out of stock. They do not even carry a one ingredient calcium citrate supplement. In addition, based on a questionnaire about your preferences, the website presents you with a pre-filled shopping cart of items it "decides" you want. You have to delete the ones you dont want. I had to delete all of them and then start looking for the products I wanted. Of the nine products I wanted to purchase, only two were on its website and in stock. Even products in the brands it advertises as carrying, the selection is very small. Three items they carry that I wanted to buy were out of stock. It was a very disappointing experience. I cancelled my membership.
