Stop scamming people
Two weeks later and still never above 50 MBPS on the 200 MBPS plan, and as if that wasn't bad enough it doesn't even work 70% of the time. Completely unusable...
SCAM
Same base, new dorm, same shit. Over the last day I have never gotten above 40 MBPS and I haven't been able to even connect for 40% of the time. This service is disgusting.
Still trash
A month and a half later and I have yet to reach over 100MBPS with the 200MBPS plan. It is such a shame I cannot rate this company at 0 stars because the service is such a scam. The only thing they have going for them is the customer service and very friendly representatives. Unfortunately, no amount of kindness can turn shit into gold. BOINGO STILL SUCKS. It has its "good" days where I might reach 100MBPS and I might disconnect a maximum of one time, but the other 9/10 days I will disconnect so often that I have had to abandon online games altogether. Half of the time the connection is so spotty in the dorms that I am lucky to be able to stream a video at 240p.
Still terrible
I left a poor review two days ago because my experience with this service has been absolutely terrible. The last two days were somehow two of the worst days I have ever experienced with Boingo. I have been using Boingo on my laptop in the dorms of my base, and we do not have wired connections available. That being said, I have lost connection from Boingo from all of my devices simultaneously for MINUTES at a time, 12 times over the last two days. This service is a scam, do not give them your money.
Boingo is a scam
Do not purchase Boingo if you live on a military base. This company is a scam and they get monopolies on service leaving you with only one option that never works. I have had the extreme plan that advertises 200MBPS for almost a year now and have never once reached this speed. Additionally, Boingo is very spotty on base and especially in the dorms. One room might have decent connection while the one next door lacks almost any connection. As if that wasn't bad enough, the poor quality connection is never constant and frequently cuts out to the point that you cannot use it if you need to live stream content or play a game that requires internet connection, leading to very frequent disconnects. This service is appalling and I am embarrassed to say I support Boingo with my subscription. Unfortunately, for my base this is the one and only option for wifi so I am stuck with this trash for the next few years. My base luckily has a discount with this plan only coming in at $50 which is fair because it only works about 70% of the time. If you plan to use this service for gaming, I would highly advise against that as I have never once had below 100ms of ping, creating very unpleasant gaming sessions, on top of frequently recieving matchmaking penalties for disconnecting.
