Excellent content—but a serious gap between the stated values and the business practices
I have learned a great deal from Tony Robbins’ work, and the immersive live-event experience can be outstanding. Unfortunately, my experience after purchasing a Mastery package for approximately $15,000 has seriously damaged my trust in the organization. My package explicitly included two Diamond tickets for UPW Cologne. When I contacted the organization regarding the second ticket, I was told that Cologne was fully booked and that the promised ticket could not be provided. Instead, I was offered a Miami ticket valid only this year. For a customer based in Europe, Miami is not an equivalent replacement. It requires different travel, accommodation, considerably greater expense, and an entirely different practical commitment. I relied on the clear information that no Cologne ticket was available and changed my plans accordingly. I no longer kept the event dates available, and two other people who had expressed interest in attending also made alternative arrangements. Approximately two weeks later, after repeated complaints, the organization informed me that a Cologne ticket had now been found. By that point, however, neither I nor the other interested attendees could use it as originally planned. I appreciate that the organization eventually provided the ticket. But providing it after first definitively stating that it was unavailable did not restore the original situation. The practical consequences of the mistake and delay were left entirely with me. I proposed several reasonable solutions, but received no substantive response, even after providing an additional deadline. The content and techniques can be powerful. However, the organization repeatedly speaks about integrity, love, overdelivering, and putting value before profit. In my case, a promised benefit was initially refused, a materially different substitute was proposed, and the eventual correction came only after pressure and too late to restore the original situation. That gap between the message and the conduct is deeply disappointing.
