Hidden Subscription Fee
As others have mentioned, there is a hidden fee, which isn’t indicated. My initial impression was that the fee (£39), close to the tutor’s charging fee (£35), regarded a security payment for the tutor and a small amount deducted as a platform fee. However, this isn’t the case. The SuperProf charges any members a monthly subscription fee without any clear indication of these charges. I had skimmed Reddit and TrustPilot before paying for the request to a tutor and I saw only a summary of some complaints, but, overall, a positive perception of the service. Again, this isn’t the case and although older quasi-scamming practices, according to some Reddit reviews, have been abandoned, the hidden fee remains. I wouldn’t recommend the use of the platform to others.
