Agoda App System Pricing Glitch
I made a booking on Agoda App for a 2 night stay in Fairways and Bluewater in Boracay, Philippines however upon my check-in, Reception Staff had informed that Agoda mistakenly published the wrong rate on their App (due to their system glitch) and have to pay the amount difference or otherwise will not proceed with the Hotel check-in. It is a bit disappointing and humiliating to be declined and asked to pay in front of other guests. I made the extra payment just to get the room and close this experience. I called Agoda and spoke with Agent Hussain and he admitted their error. He offered to refund the amount which I have paid on the App. I have been using Agoda and a loyal, happy customer for a long time and this experience made me think and reconsider using other booking platforms for my future travel.
