If I could give zero stars I would
I have spent approximately $560 per month for the past year and a half with the expectation of receiving legitimate, high-quality leads that would help grow my business. Instead, my experience has been one of the most disappointing and costly business decisions I have ever made. Throughout my time using Angi, I received numerous leads that I believe were not legitimate. Some could not be reached, others appeared to have no genuine interest in the services they requested, and several left me questioning whether there was ever a real customer behind the lead at all. The most concerning incident occurred when I responded to what I believed was a homeowner seeking an estimate. After spending my time inspecting the project and preparing a detailed quote, I discovered the individual was actually another contractor who admitted he was using Angi to obtain pricing because he didn’t know how to estimate the job himself. When I reported this to Angi, their response was essentially that there was nothing they could do. As a paying contractor, I found that completely unacceptable. Over the course of 18 months, I have invested thousands of dollars into this platform and have seen virtually no meaningful return on that investment. Between the monthly fees, the time spent chasing unqualified leads, and the hours lost preparing estimates that never had a realistic chance of becoming projects, the financial impact has been substantial. What has been equally frustrating is the customer service. Rather than feeling like a valued client, I often felt that my concerns were dismissed. Every issue seemed to end with excuses instead of accountability or meaningful solutions. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Angi to other contractors. If you’re considering paying hundreds of dollars each month in hopes of growing your business, I strongly encourage you to research other lead generation options first. I wish I had. I joined expecting a professional service that connected contractors with genuine customers. Instead, I was left feeling that the platform prioritized collecting recurring payments over delivering consistent value to the contractors who fund it. I sincerely hope my experience helps another business owner avoid making the same costly mistake I did.
