Joyous - Low-Dose Ketamine Treatment

DO NOT trust this company with your mental health

I’m not even sure where to start. They get you in with an appointment immediately within an hour and have you sign up, and make you feel like they care about your treatment and mental health for recovery. The first shipment is seamless and punctual. You start taking the doses they recommend and follow their daily text check-in instructions to a ‘T’. Then, you wait until the 3 week mark to schedule your follow up appointment (because you can’t do so beforehand) as this is the only way to get a refill, which is understandable from a medical standpoint. But this is when issues arise, as they don’t have availability for at least two weeks even if you tell them you're out of prescription. This means if your dosage goes up as suggested by Joyous in the first month you may be subjected to going without your daily medication. They have you check-in daily to tell them how much you have left and how much you've taken, so their systems should be able to calculate when a refill is needed, but nope! They give a set/introductory amount for the first month and their AI automated responses brushes you off with excuses if there's gonna be a gap in treatment. How funny is it? They'll have you talk with every real person under the sun to onboard you, but default to AI after you’re a CUSTOMER. People…. This is a company that is supposed to be aiding you with your mental health. When you bring any issues up they bombard you with AI generated solutions that lead to nowhere. Not one issue was correctly addressed, fixed, or followed up on. Then, you meet with the NP who has no idea where you’re at in your treatment, doesn’t know if you have medication left, quickly rushes through your call, and then proceeds to submit a prescription for refill. After this the prescription gets sent to their pharmacy who has to wait until Joyous approves the order, you’ll be lucky they send it out in a timely manner. Mine is currently stuck in limbo and no one at Joyous is releasing it to be shipped. This of course comes with that same AI promising you everything is being handled on the back end, but no communication with updates or what’s being done to get the issues resolved. This happens like clockwork when you reach out to their customer service, AI AI AI AI. Oh yeah, their AI will directly tell you that you aren’t ever able to talk to someone at their company on the phone, and your only human to human interaction is going to be with the NP. I’ll be going on 3 weeks without treatment next week as there is no update on when mine will be shipped. I’ve truly never dealt with such an incompetent company in my life. I highly suggest staying away and finding another company who does the same type of treatment because it has been beneficial for my depression and anxiety, but the headache of dealing with Joyous is not worth it. For a product that could help SO many lives, they are approaching their treatment very irresponsibly. Extremely disappointing! If you’re already in a fragile mental state, DO NOT put your trust in this company to see your treatment goes smoothly. I’m sure legal issues will arise down the line as they're not handling patients who are seeking mental care according to their initial onboarding promises. A lawyer is gonna have a field day with their breach in ‘contracts’! If anyone has any questions or wants to see text/email exchanges please feel free to reach out to me, I am open to give all the pros and cons. Also, be cautious of all positive reviews and follow-up replies on here because they're even using their AI platform to generate a positive image. They delete comments and post on IG, FB, and their internal patient portal if it makes their company look bad. They are a business first and foremost and it’s obvious that’s all they care about. Make sure to look at their rating on the Better Business Bureau - it's an F. Wish I would have done more research beforehand.
