I'm very jaded by admin and care teams, but the program, materials and prescriptions are good.
I've had a great experience with the medication, the courses and the community stuff. Those are all great. What I didn't like was the admin nightmare. I am perhaps a little sensitive, but it was bad. The last straw for me was that I wanted to get a provider appointment scheduled. I received the link, and there were no options. They told me to check again in a couple days. I checked every day for over two weeks. There were no appointment times available. This is a clear indication they don't have provider coverage as they need. I messaged their support again after, and got the same advice. I advised that I would not deal with that and they should cancel my membership because I was unwilling to continue treatment without a provider appointment. The care team then decided after that to send me a new prescription which I advised I didn't want. It was shipped and they required me to maintain my membership until August 31. I told them this was unacceptable and even told me that I authorized them to send the medication when I in fact had done the opposite. I also requested a stop to all messages from the company because I was sick of getting them everyday when I've already requested the cancellation, which they seemingly overrode to send me another prescription. They told me customer service couldn't affect the issues and it was relayed to the care team again. As it sits, the system still is treating me as if I didn't make the requests and such, but when a human reviews and checks the messages, they advise me that I did in fact make the request for cancellation timely and the care team has not actioned this matter.
I'm furious with my experience, however, I hope that they correct their problems with some input from me. There is no excuse for a company that is provisioning medical care to be unable to deliver it with the appointments to the providers, however, if that gets corrected, I hope anyone else has a better experience.
If you want treatment from these “e-clown” doctors just lie to them. If you are even remotely honest about any challenges you have (even years in the past) they will tell you need a “psyche” evaluation as if you are severely mentally ill. Companies like this only care about liability not what is best for the patient. My advice is just lie about everything to the corny internet doctors they employ or they’ll just deny you treatment or make you waste money, time and everything else for something as mild as low dose k.
I have been with Joyous for over a year. It has it glitches, but as long as I was getting my medication on time, I had no issues. It has gotten me off SSRIs. It is life changing. Then, the glitches on the site got out of control. I sent paperwork that was needed to them from Doctors and Psychiatrists. But every appointment I had in the last week left me stranded. Not only did they drop me, when I am trying to follow up and get another appointment, either the clinician and I had technical issues, and the last 4 or 5 confirmed meetings were suddenly cancelled due to “technical” issues. We had a good run, Joyous, but I think I’m finished with your faulty program.
Over the last 4 1/2 months I’ve been using the treatment, starting from 15 mg per session and ending at 80 mg per Session by the end of the four month mark. About halfway into the treatment, I really started to notice the treatment working outside the therapy sessions. Majority of my sessions included a meditation, guided by music, occasionally just relaxing with no intent to do anything. By the end of the four month mark, I’m really feeling stable with my generational depression/anxiety. I recommend this treatment to anybody who has doubts of traditional pharmaceutical antidepressants, this has been a life-changing experience and I am super grateful this is available.
My daughter is going through some extremely difficult times. The chemo and meds in between are causing issues with stomach, brain, diarrhea, vomiting.
I’m sending her the items right away.
Thank-you once again.
This company is a scam. I went to 3 doctors appointments and they cancelled all 3 after taking off work all three times and waiting over an hour at each appointment. Then finally refunded my money which took two weeks to arrive.
I've struggled with military, sexual trauma my entire life. It altered a personality that I didn't recognize anymore. Joyous has helped me break through a lot of disturbing memories. And although I was able to push through them, now is the time where the real work starts where I start building myself back up again.
I may understand what happened to me in a better context, however, I am forever changed by these experiences. I may not wake up in a cold, sweat and panic attacks, but what has happened has shaped me to a different person. I've accepted what's happened, however I have been changed forever.
I wish that joyous would allow us to track our progress to see if this is actually working. I've spent 23 months almost 2 years on ketamine. And there were times where I felt it didn't work. And I'm not really sure if it's the medicine or the therapy or the yoga or the meditation. Or maybe it's all of it. But having the mental break that I need to process all of this is going to be continuous for the rest of my life. This medication will help you push through some of the most darkest memories and will assist in helping process that thought. However, I don't want to give anyone false hope to think this is a cure-all. You will still have to be accepting of those intrusive thoughts and you embrace them and it becomes a part of you.
The person you become after the breakthrough is ultimately up to you.
The treatment has helped me thru a… really hard time in my life...
The treatment has helped me thru a rough patch and I recommend this to anyone. I personally would do it again in a heartbeat. If your feeling lost and stuck try this treatment it helps more than you think it can...
My experience with Joyous has been amazing! I really have taken alot from it, from quieting my brain and less chatter, to feeling better about myself. I really took the time and focused on meditating while I was on the Ketamine and that has helped me more than anything. I found YouTube videos to help and it was so much easier to get into the meditation space with the Ketamine. I have been able to stop taking an antidepressant and my anxiety meds since starting with Joyous!
I really wanted to like Joyous. Setting up an appointment, talking to a medical professional, and getting my first pack of troches was seamless- very simple and straightforward. Over the first few weeks of ramping up doses, I noticed some days were more potent than others. I was told this has to do with things in my control (time of day taking the dose, what I've had to eat and drink that day, sleep, etc). I tried to stay consistent in my routine, but was still having consistency issues by the end of the first month and filed a report.
I received my second pack with a higher dose amount (nearly double the first pack). I've now taken 9 troches from the new pack and felt next to nothing during each session (some sessions literally no effect at all). I had a small amount left from the previous pack, so I tried a quarter of a dose from that pack. The smaller dose from the prior pack had more of an effect than any of the new ones.
I've reported this several times and have been told 1.) they do not send placebos and 2.) "the pharmacy troches are tested by a 3rd party independent testing company to verify that the potency and quality is correct. There have been no indications that there are discrepancies in the potency of the batches."
I was told to file a report, but I already have an open case and cannot open another one. It has been several weeks and nothing has been resolved.
This is a big let down mostly because when it works, it works great. I've had nine days in a row being disappointed and I'm ready to cut my losses and try a different company.
Not worth it. Personally, it didnt work. So I tried to cancel. They refuse to cancel and pulled my card again. Why? Because its a 3 month bundle? If youre rental car didnt work would you keep paying for it? Logic. These people are mental.
I tried it for 3 months 04-07/2026 and I do have to say if you stay the course it really does give you a short period of genuine bliss. It wares off fast enough to get back to your day. (30 minutes roughly) It helps you to detach all the crap in the head for just long enough to reset your mood and remember to exists in the moment. Everything works out in the end even if things suck sometimes. Don’t let the hard parts take away from the awesome achievements to come!
I’m not even sure where to start. They get you in with an appointment immediately within an hour and have you sign up, and make you feel like they care about your treatment and mental health for recovery. The first shipment is seamless and punctual. You start taking the doses they recommend and follow their daily text check-in instructions to a ‘T’. Then, you wait until the 3 week mark to schedule your follow up appointment (because you can’t do so beforehand) as this is the only way to get a refill, which is understandable from a medical standpoint. But this is when issues arise, as they don’t have availability for at least two weeks even if you tell them you're out of prescription. This means if your dosage goes up as suggested by Joyous in the first month you may be subjected to going without your daily medication. They have you check-in daily to tell them how much you have left and how much you've taken, so their systems should be able to calculate when a refill is needed, but nope! They give a set/introductory amount for the first month and their AI automated responses brushes you off with excuses if there's gonna be a gap in treatment. How funny is it? They'll have you talk with every real person under the sun to onboard you, but default to AI after you’re a CUSTOMER.
People…. This is a company that is supposed to be aiding you with your mental health. When you bring any issues up they bombard you with AI generated solutions that lead to nowhere. Not one issue was correctly addressed, fixed, or followed up on. Then, you meet with the NP who has no idea where you’re at in your treatment, doesn’t know if you have medication left, quickly rushes through your call, and then proceeds to submit a prescription for refill. After this the prescription gets sent to their pharmacy who has to wait until Joyous approves the order, you’ll be lucky they send it out in a timely manner. Mine is currently stuck in limbo and no one at Joyous is releasing it to be shipped. This of course comes with that same AI promising you everything is being handled on the back end, but no communication with updates or what’s being done to get the issues resolved. This happens like clockwork when you reach out to their customer service, AI AI AI AI. Oh yeah, their AI will directly tell you that you aren’t ever able to talk to someone at their company on the phone, and your only human to human interaction is going to be with the NP. I’ll be going on 3 weeks without treatment next week as there is no update on when mine will be shipped. I’ve truly never dealt with such an incompetent company in my life. I highly suggest staying away and finding another company who does the same type of treatment because it has been beneficial for my depression and anxiety, but the headache of dealing with Joyous is not worth it. For a product that could help SO many lives, they are approaching their treatment very irresponsibly. Extremely disappointing! If you’re already in a fragile mental state, DO NOT put your trust in this company to see your treatment goes smoothly. I’m sure legal issues will arise down the line as they're not handling patients who are seeking mental care according to their initial onboarding promises. A lawyer is gonna have a field day with their breach in ‘contracts’!
If anyone has any questions or wants to see text/email exchanges please feel free to reach out to me, I am open to give all the pros and cons. Also, be cautious of all positive reviews and follow-up replies on here because they're even using their AI platform to generate a positive image. They delete comments and post on IG, FB, and their internal patient portal if it makes their company look bad. They are a business first and foremost and it’s obvious that’s all they care about.
Make sure to look at their rating on the Better Business Bureau - it's an F. Wish I would have done more research beforehand.
The treatment truly works. It helped me so much in managing my anxiety and depression. Highly recommend. The doctors are very attentive with the follow ups and the support is always available. I feel more productive and happy in my days. 5 stars!
Worst customer service ever! I wasnt able to get the trouches out of the container and wanted a credit or refund. For six weeks they told me they were escalating my issue! I asked to speak with management and they ignored me. I finally found the CEO on linkedin and told him about the lack of customer service. He was gracious and resolved it. Another time, I had to ask customer service 4 times to send me the link so I could make a payment. They kept telling me that it was in a separate email but there was no additional email. They lied to me about the issue being escalated. All over their website they claim to really care about their patients. I recently had another issue making a payment and they said I had an outstanding bill due. They couldn't tell me what it was for. They sent me another link to pay with instructions that didn't work. They said they were escalating the issue and that was 10 days ago. All they say when I follow up is "thank you for your patience. Know that we are here to support you". What a joke.
Joyous saved my life. Gave me my life back. I was able to get into a relationship and everything. I was afraid to leave the home and now I have my life back. Whats great is it really does fix your anxiety. Rewires your brain in a good way.
With the tools Joyous has given me, I have learned to feel blessed. They have gone out of their way to help people experience just what they presented to me, the ability to overcome trauma and old or seemingly apathetic neural payhways. It's a memory that stands out to me, when my dad called shortly after I had taken my microdose, I finally had a chance to feel love and compassion, to realize how grateful I have always had reason to be. It was miraculous, the timing was impeccable, and it really opened my heart to just how much I had been missing.
Thank you Joyous!
I started Joyous about 2 years ago and had continuous treatment for the majority of that time, minus a few months of breaks. I've had a complicated journey of treating my mental health condition for a long time. I tried a lot of different medications, but nothing really helped like it should. I also tried alternative treatments like ECT and others. I have been treated for my mental health for the past 12 years and Joyous has been one of the best support systems for me. Ketamine treatments have shown the best improvement in my symptoms, but it's not a miracle drug. It's a tool that you need to use alongside other tools to better yourself. I started with IV infusions of ketamine in a clinic setting, which is where I first learned of the benefits of K for my mental health. I watched the treatment transform from a team of 4 people in medical scrubs monitoring me, to a quiet cozy dark room with 1 nurse watching over, and now we have at home treatments through Joyous. The fact that I can get this treatment without dedicating a huge part of my time and money towards going to a clinic, is wonderful.
The convience of this treatment has helped tremendously, and it certainly played a big part in why I stuck with this treatment for so long. The support system that Joyous has is great and I never felt alone. Im very shy and so I never really utilized the community aspect of Joyous, but I recommend everyone to check out what everyone else is talking about and participate. Joyous has helped me be me again.
There are too many problems with joyous to detail them each, but in summary:
1-this is not really a medical service rendered despite the hoopla that they want to prioritize safety
2-there a mind numbing repetition of AI messages unconnected to previous messages or conversations that one has had. The psychological and emotional experience is one of a very negative worse of bureaucracy/kafkaesque situation, where problems are being brought up, answers, promises of escalation are made and the escalations never ever result with a human actually getting involved. So literally you bring up a problem have an entire frustrating conversation with AIAI promises escalation and then AI comes back to you with stating again like that. They are going to solve the issue without even taking the account any of the steps any of the resolutions any of the promises made
3-so in the midst of a long list of difficulties, which can include first using USPS without enough support to ensure accurate deliveries or solving of issues that come up with deliveries,
second, maintenance of appointments that are made in a professional fashion, continuation of a critical treatment as should be done in a normal medical setting, four communication when issues arise, five fraudulent billing in the context of this terrible service or failure of delivering as planned.
ButSix ketamine is a very effective treatment, but it has nothing to do with joyous they didn’t invent it and they are miss using and failing at prescribing it in a way that is compatible with improvement of client. I could speculate that they have too many clients and absolutely have not scaled up the human experience but at this point, they are committing what could only be characterized as very serious malpractice and really should be shut down.
