Yelp

Do NOT sign up for Yelp Ads

I had a very disappointing experience with Yelp Ads. I signed up for a 30-day free trial on May 22, 2026, and received absolutely zero legitimate leads. Instead, my business line was flooded with spam and solicitation calls from people who said they found my information through my Yelp ad. I have call logs, screenshots, and transcriptions documenting this. Because the ads were disrupting my business and producing no results, I canceled on June 2, 2026, well before the trial ended. I also received an email from Yelp confirming the cancellation. Despite that, Yelp charged me in July. When I contacted Yelp, they refused to issue a refund and suggested that there were plenty of resources available to cancel, even though I had already canceled and had written confirmation proving it. I provided documentation, but they still closed the matter and said the decision was final. I have proof of the cancellation, the charge, the spam calls, and my communications with Yelp. I have disputed the charge with my bank. Small-business owners should be extremely cautious and save every cancellation email and screenshot.
