TruGreen

They do not do what they say they will do

Update: After posting this review, a member from the home office reached out and worked with me to provide a solution. Im still not a customer ever again, but at least they attempted to rebuild good will. A year ago, I purchased a prepaid service for lawn care. I paid for 10 services. Via conversations throughout this last year I had confirmed that I was not on an automatic renewal and that my card was not being stored for future payments. Yesterday, I noticed a new charge from TruGreen. I called and proceeded to find they had automatically renewed me, even though I supposedly had two prepaid services left. I was led to believe that I prepaid for 10 service applications and that they would have to come back and review with me before they did anything further. This is based on two separate communications and a follow up later than my original contact. Today, with a customer coordinator named Raffella, I was told that they do not save my credit card and only save the last four digits. I said she never had authorization to charge me, and she said authorization was given for auto renewals in prior communication. So, she admitted that I may had been told that they did not store my credit card, because they only keep the last four digits, but they still maintain the ability to automatically charge your account. This is fraudulent in my opinion because I have never given authorization for future charges. I am currently in the process of forcing them to prove they have my authorization, which they will not be able to prove unless they falsify it.
