AVOID AIRPAZ

AVOID AIRPAZ - booked our son's flight (Kuala Lumpur-Dusseldorf-Kuala Lumpur, Qatar Airways) through them and it turned into a nightmare. Airpaz knew 5 months in advance that our connecting flight in Doha had been rescheduled to the next day. They never actively confirmed this with us - notifications went to spam, and their support didn't mention it even when we contacted them directly before departure specifically about check-in. As a result, our son was stranded in Doha for 22 hours with no connecting flight, no hotel, and no meal voucher on his ticket. Qatar Airways covered a hotel and meals purely as a goodwill gesture - something that should have been Airpaz's responsibility given they'd known about the change for months. When we raised this in their live chat, their agents first claimed 'using the ticket means you agreed to the change' - except our son actually flew on the ORIGINAL scheduled time, never on any of the several different 'updated' times they'd sent us. When we pointed that out, they simply repeated that customers who disagree must contact support beforehand - which we did, and were still not informed. Every compensation request was refused. Separately, when the airline changed our return flight too (extending our layover from 3 to over 9 hours), Airpaz's system only offered a full-price NEW ticket instead of a free rebooking, despite the segment being marked 'Refundable' and 'Rescheduable' on our own ticket. When we tried to check the ticket status directly with Qatar Airways, they could not give us any information because the booking was made through a travel agency - meaning Airpaz's failures leave you with zero direct access to your own booking. Airpaz's own booking confirmation states schedule changes 'will be informed via Email or SMS' - but in practice this means one automated email, possibly landing in spam, with no active follow-up, no phone contact, and no accountability when it fails. If anything goes wrong, you have no real recourse. Book directly with the airline. The small savings from an OTA like Airpaz are not worth the risk.
