DoorDash

On Saturday Jul 11

On Saturday Jul 11, 2026 at approximately 5:30 pm, I placed an order for Kibo Sushi Mount Pleasant through the doordash mobile app. I selected the “pickup” option and found a promotion stating the following details MEGA Game Box for 30% off at $56.00 (original price was $80). When I confirmed the order, the promotion was not applied and my credit card was charged $80.00, which is $24.00 more than the price listed in the promotion. Upon calling to request a price adjustment at approximately 5:45 pm, I was informed by Harish, customer service supervisor on duty, that the promo was for delivery only. I explained that nowhere in the order screen was it clearly listed that the offer was for delivery only, and if that was the case, then the promo should not have been visible when the “pickup” option was selected. If a delivery only promo was visible to the customer while the pickup only option was selected, then this is a bug in the doordash app and not a customer oversight/error. Despite the details above, Harish (Supervisor) made no attempt to resolve the matter. Harish was robotic, unsympathetic, and showed a complete lack of the ability to see the situation from a customer’s perspective. Harish offered no solutions, no assistance, and was completely unwilling to help in any way. He kept talking over me, ignoring my concerns and the logic presented, and kept reverting to his scripted responses. A chatbot could have provided better customer service than Harish in this situation. Not only was the customer service unhelpful, the entire situation seemed like a scam. The posted price was not applied, a mistake that doordash should have owned.
