Resale Process is NOT transparent
I sent several luxury handbags to Rebag as a part of the resale process. I was initially excited to see what seemed like an upfront and transparent process. I soon found out that this would be a process far from either of those. First, the seller’s platform hardly ever updates. Days and days pass with no changes to your submissions. There is no way to access where you are in the timeline. It could be weeks before someone even looks at your item and begins an inspection. This is not accounted for in their description of how their resale process works. Second, they promise payment in a quick smooth transaction when using their buyout option. However, once they have agreed to a price and they have accepted the item( which keep in mind, they already have inspected and are in possession of) it is a full 30 BUSINESS days before funds are transferred to your Rebag account. But wait because it gets better. After the 30 Business days, excluding holidays as well, the funds must be kept in the Rebag account for a minimum of 15 days before you can transfer them to your bank account. If you move them earlier, you are subject to a financial penalty. And I would have to guess that those 15 days would have to be Business days too. So essentially an additional 3 weeks before receiving any money. I have also seen numerous complaints about not being able to get transfers to go through, so I would not be surprised if that were to also be a part of this ridiculously long, drawn out process. I have used other resale platforms before. I am not unfamiliar with the resale process. This company is basically running a scheme. I would imagine that the items are actually sold, again, at a higher price than they payout to the seller, on their website, before the seller gets anything! Plus, customer service was a joke. Fake politeness and no accountability. I definitely would suggest trying one of the other resale platforms.
