These people contacted me almost every day trying to convince me to join their platform. They promised me the best conditions and claimed that I would be very busy because there were many tile-related projects and requests in my area. Eventually, I had some free time and decided to give it a try. I paid $285 for an annual subscription. After that, they started charging me an additional $100–$130 for each lead they sent me. The problem was that these leads turned out to be completely useless. Some people never responded at all. Some said they were interested by mistake, even though they had no plans to do any tile renovation. Others were only trying to get a price estimate, knowing that the same request would be sent to 4–5 other contractors at the same time, and Angi would charge each contractor immediately. By the end of one week, they charged me an additional $235 for these so-called leads. I even drove to some customers’ homes, spent my time providing estimates, and offered prices about 40% lower than my normal rates, but they showed little to no real interest. After many conversations with their top managers, I came to the conclusion that this company is struggling and is trying to bring in as many contractors as possible by making unrealistic promises. They refused to provide any refunds and their communication with me was very disappointing and unprofessional. I do not recommend this platform to anyone. It was a complete waste of my time, money, and energy. This has been one of my worst experiences dealing with a major company in the United States.
