Ultiself

Signed up for Ultiself

Signed up for Ultiself, a self-improvement/habit-tracking app promoted on Facebook, for an agreed $7. Within minutes, three further charges were attempted back to back — $42.86, $42.86, $0 — none authorized by me. I caught it in time to stop all three, but had to cancel my card entirely to make sure they couldn’t keep trying. Received nothing for the $7 either. This isn’t a one-off. Scrolling through other reviews here, the pattern is identical: small initial charge, then a burst of unauthorized attempts, no working cancellation process, and a scripted “contact support” reply that goes nowhere. This looks less like a billing glitch and more like a deliberate tactic. Apps like this market themselves around mental health, habits, and self-improvement — often reaching people who are already struggling and looking for support. Repeatedly attempting unauthorized charges against that audience is exploitative. Don’t link a real card. If you already have, check your statement now and consider cancelling it before they try again.
