Comforter Tore After One Wash — Warranty Denied
I was really excited to receive my Marshmallow Double Stuffed Comforter, but unfortunately my experience was incredibly disappointing. I owned the comforter for less than one month and washed it one time on a cold, delicate cycle. During that very first wash, the comforter tore along the seam and became unusable. I contacted Mellow Sleep expecting they would stand behind what is marketed as a premium product. Instead, after multiple rounds of emails, photos, and an escalation, they denied my request for a replacement. Their explanation was that my top-load washer with a center agitator caused the damage, even though the comforter was only washed once. I understand companies have warranty policies, but I expected much better customer service. A comforter at this price point should reasonably survive its first wash. I wasn’t asking for a refund, just a one-time goodwill replacement, but they refused. The most disappointing part wasn’t just the product failing. It was the company’s unwillingness to stand behind it. If you’re considering purchasing from Mellow Sleep, I’d recommend thinking carefully about whether you’re comfortable with the warranty support if something goes wrong.
