3 WEEKS NO AIR CONDITIONING IN MIAMI FL 96degree WEATHER

*** TODAY JULY 31st, I TOOK ANOTHER DAY OFF AND THE COMPANY THAT SEARS/CINCH ASSIGNED TO ME TKDAY (Southcool) CANCELLED MY APPOINTMENT FOR TODAY*** I am filing a formal complaint regarding Sears Home Warranty/Cinch Home Services and its failure to resolve a service request for my mini-split air-conditioning system. I have been a loyal, paying customer for many years and previously had generally acceptable experiences. However, on July 13, 2026, I reported that my mini-split was no longer properly cooling. Nearly three weeks later, after multiple contractors, repeated appointments, lost workdays, conflicting diagnoses, and a no-show appointment, the problem remains unresolved and the unit is now cooling even less than when I first reported it along with a horrible noise. The first contractor Sears/Cinch sent, which I believe was ThermaCool, arrived only to tell me they did not service mini-splits. I had already taken the day off work. South Cool was then sent. The technician said the unit was working because the air measured approximately 64 degrees directly at the vent. However, only about 10 feet away, the room was close to 80 degrees. He attributed this to the room size and high ceilings, even though this same mini-split had successfully cooled the same room for years. During a later visit from the same company a refrigerant leak was discovered and demonstrated to me with bubbles. The leak was supposedly repaired and refrigerant was apparently added. After this repair, the unit began cooling even less. Sears/Cinch then sent Fuss Free Cooling, but the technician was mistakenly given a work order for my central AC, which had no problem, instead of the mini-split. This resulted in another wasted appointment and another day lost from work. Sears/Cinch later scheduled Apex for a Saturday. I had an important family reunion that day with relatives I had not seen in years, but because my bedroom had become so hot that I was sleeping on a mattress in another room, I stayed home to wait for the technician. The technician never showed up. I missed my family reunion and still had no functioning air conditioning. Apex then rescheduled. I took yet another day off work, only to be told they could not make the appointment. A technician eventually came and cleaned the outside coils, but this did not resolve the problem. The mini-split now cools less than ever and has developed an additional noise. After nearly three weeks, multiple contractors and technicians, several lost workdays, a missed family reunion, a documented refrigerant leak, incorrect work orders, cancellations, and unsuccessful repairs, I still do not have a properly functioning mini-split. I purchased and have paid for this warranty for years specifically so that covered systems would be repaired or replaced when they fail. I cannot continue taking time off work for repeated appointments that do not resolve the problem, nor can I continue sleeping in another room because my bedroom is too hot. At this point, I may be forced to purchase a replacement mini-split myself simply because I need functioning air conditioning. Requested Resolution: Immediate supervisory review of my complete claim and service history. A definitive diagnosis by a qualified technician experienced with mini-split systems. Replacement of the mini-split if it cannot be properly and reasonably repaired. If I am forced to purchase a replacement because Sears/Cinch has failed to resolve this claim within a reasonable time, reimbursement or compensation to the extent provided under my warranty. Copies of all service reports, technician notes, diagnoses, leak/refrigerant records, repair documentation, and contractor records associated with this claim. Appropriate consideration for the repeated unsuccessful and missed appointments and the multiple days I have had to take off from work. I have given Sears Home Warranty/Cinch Home Services more than a reasonable opportunity to correct this problem. I am not asking for anything unreasonable. I am simply asking the company to honor the warranty I have paid for, properly resolve this claim, and provide the service its customers are entitled to expect. Your cooperation, assistance, and immediate attention to this matter are desperately needed at this point. I have given Sears Home Warranty/Cinch Home Services every reasonable opportunity to repair my air conditioning system, yet the problem remains unresolved and the unit continues to get worse. If my air conditioning system is not properly repaired today, I will have no choice but to purchase and install a new mini-split system tomorrow. I cannot continue indefinitely without properly functioning A/C
