EaseUS

Paid experience is just as bad as free.

I thought by purchasing a license the software user experience would feel less like a ad-infested, engagement magnet and focus on the objective the customer has just parted money with to achieve. Sadly, it's consistently trying to further sell you other products after purchasing the one product you needed. While trying to recover a large data set which has taken me weeks to work through, each time I open EaseUS Data Recovery I'm constantly asked to upgrade software which asks you if you wish to purchase again, the software looks exactly the same each upgrade, pointless to do this!! Overall, the softare does do what it claims, it does retrieve lost files. But the user experience is much to be desired. I have taught UX for many years and I would fail my students on some of the abysmal design choices in this software. I'd expect much more after paying for it. I assumed by paying for the product, one would see less of the nonsense. My use case: I just want to recover lost data, not play a game with cartoons and spend endless money on new products I am NOT looking for. Thanks, no thanks. I'm hesitant to recommend. I'm certainly concerned with what others have mentioned that lifetime licenses being altered after the fact, features put behind an additional pay-wall or lifetime not meaning lifetime. I would suggest buyers take caution with how much the data is worth to you to spend, if the data is worth less than the subscription, look elsewhere, you may end up being screwed over.
