Cancelled flight refund: pushed toward voucher despite AirAsia showing Full Refund
My AirAsia X flight from Kuala Lumpur to London Gatwick was cancelled by the airline. AirAsia official support / AskBo clearly shows that for the Bahrain / London Gatwick cancellation, the available Service Recovery Options are “Full Refund” or “Full Credit Account”. However, Airpaz is pushing me toward a BIG ID / voucher / Credit Account process instead of clearly processing the Full Refund option. Airpaz emailed me saying the refund would first be issued as an Airpaz voucher and that I may request cash conversion afterward. But Airpaz’s own Terms & Conditions state that vouchers cannot be redeemed for monetary funds / cash. This is extremely concerning. I am being asked to approve a voucher-related process while their own conditions say vouchers are not cash-redeemable. I am not refusing to cooperate. I am refusing to accept a voucher or Credit Account as final compensation for a flight cancelled by the airline. I have opened a PayPal dispute because the service I paid for will not be provided and Airpaz has not provided a clear refund to my original payment method. Very stressful and disappointing experience. Based on my experience, I would not recommend using Airpaz for flight bookings, especially if a cancellation happens. NOTE TO EVERYONE : They will be replying to all bad reviews making you believe that they refunded. It is not the case at all. Do not trust them. The abysmal rate speaks for itself.
