SCAM, Frustration, NOT RECOMENDED, CAUTION
My experience with Angi/HomeAdvisor has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. I created an account and canceled it the SAME DAY. Despite canceling immediately, I was charged $980. It has now been THREE MONTHS, and I still have not received my refund. What makes this situation even worse is that instead of returning the $980 they owe me, I received a “FINAL NOTICE” claiming that I owe them an additional $1,000 and threatening collections, additional fees, litigation fees, and possible negative credit reporting. For three months, I have been waiting for my refund, and this issue still has not been properly resolved. Now I am being threatened with collections over another $1,000 balance that I dispute. From my experience, the billing and cancellation process has been completely unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend Angi/HomeAdvisor to other contractors. I signed up expecting a service that would help grow my business. Instead, three months after canceling the same day I opened the account, I am still waiting for my $980 refund while being threatened with collections for another $1,000.
