I purchased a treadmill through Walmart
I purchased a treadmill through Walmart. I purchased the protection plan. My treadmill stopped running within the 30 days. I tried to file a claim. I was told I had to contact the manufacturer because of the purchase date. I contacted them and they said they had no repair option. After a long process. I got my money back from manufacturer. But I had a broken treadmill still. So I contacted Walmart and explained that I got a refund but I'd like to get it fixed and file a claim. I was told since I got a refund that voids the protection plan. I explained I had no choice to except the refund because the manufacturer does not offer repairs. Walmart told me I couldn't have both. I said I don't want both. I wanted my treadmill repaired. Walmart said since it's under the manufacturer warranty still. Walmart couldn't file a claim. So don't purchase the protection plan it's a scam. It will not protect your purchase if the problem happens under a year. And Walmart will not give you an option to have the issue fixed by them. They send you to the manufacturer that may or may not have a repair option. You stuck with whatever they decide to give you.
