YELP IS THE BIGGEST SCAM
We don’t use Yelp, never have, and never will. To be honest, I don’t even check our Yelp page. After two years in business, Yelp publicly displays only a single 1-star review for our business, while 15 legitimate 5-star customer reviews have been filtered into the “not recommended” section where most people never see them. That’s been our experience with the platform. On top of that, Yelp’s sales team has repeatedly called our business and has been very aggressive with our staff about advertising. Whether that’s related to how reviews are displayed or not, I can’t say. Yelp states that its review recommendation system is automated and not influenced by advertising, but our experience with the platform has left us with very little confidence in it. For those reasons, we choose to focus our attention on platforms where our customers’ feedback is more consistently visible, such as Google. We appreciate every member who takes the time to leave an honest review, and that’s where we encourage people to share their experiences.
