They advertise a personal savings account with a great rate. What they don't tell you is that they won't allow you to actually use it. They took my opening deposit and then decided they need to "review" my identity, even though I have had personal loans with Lending Club for years. So they locked the account, leaving me unable to withdraw or deposit any funds. Including my direct deposit paycheck, which they bounced. I sent them the documents they asked for, and then silence. I called them and asked for an update and no one could tell me anything. Until after more than a week, they mentioned in passing that they had no record of receiving any documents at all, so the review process was on hold. At this point I had had enough and told them to close the account. Their response was that they couldn't close the account because it was locked. This is fraud. Stay far away from these clowns.
