Don't buy from WALMART!!
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience purchasing an iPad from Walmart.com. What I encountered feels like a clear case of bait-and-switch and completely unacceptable customer service. I placed my order on August 4th for next-day delivery on August 5th at a sale price. On the 5th, I received a notification that the item was delayed. When I contacted customer service, I was told to wait 48 hours for the item to come back in stock, and I was issued a $100 credit for the inconvenience. However, later that same day, my order was canceled due to the item being “out of stock.” At the exact same time, the same iPad was still listed as available online with a delivery window of August 12–13—but now priced nearly $200 higher. When I called customer service again, I was told the only option was to reorder the item at the higher price. This is the definition of a bait-and-switch tactic—advertising a product at one price, then canceling the order and pushing the customer to repurchase at a significantly higher price. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was placed on hold for 47 minutes. I was eventually told a ticket would be submitted so I could repurchase the item at the original price and that I would receive a call back within 3–4 hours. That call never came. In fact, two days later, I still had not received any follow-up communication whatsoever. I have been misled repeatedly throughout this entire process. This is not how a reputable company treats its customers. Between the false promises, lack of follow-through, and pricing practices, this experience has completely eroded my trust in Walmart. I will never shop at Walmart again.
