LifeMD

Almost 5 Star---Can Be Easily with Adjustments

I have been generally very pleased, being a LifeMD member for over two years. I remember being nervous to try weight loss management and felt comfortable with doing this from the comfort of my own home. I'm thrilled to say I've lost over 125lbs!! This has been a life-changing experience--as I was diagnosed with severe insulin resistance since 1998. I'm grateful for this platform. First of all, I would give LifeMD a 5 Star review---and I almost did, and would feel 4.5 is probably more accurate. The first year everything went like clockwork! Then I started to see customer service not as strong/reliable. I attribute this to their rapid growth and demands for service new subscribers. At times, I have experienced at times a delay of response by staff after submitting medication refills. It used to be same day or next day. Now, the delay can be up to a week or so--and sometimes I have not even gotten a response at all. This is frustrating! Fortunately, they have a way you can instead request a video appointment instead. I've had to do that a few times, (the last two months) which I truly don't mind. However, when you try to get this appointment--- sometimes the computer doesn't offer you a date until several days to an additional week. So if you're already several days waiting for your medication refill, you can't afford to wait an additional week more. For example, I submitted my renewal request last week, and heard nothing for many days. Then over the weekend, I decided to ask for a video appt. The earliest it would give was 8/21. That was too long! So I waited. Then, last night I logged in and tried again---and I was in luck!!! I could get an appointment today at 1PM. In conclusion, when all goes to plan, the Life MD physicians and practitioners are extremely caring and thorough-- unlike other online services I've heard about. THAT is 5 star. But the operational challenges are what caused me to give 4 star review. Some plans I have heard don't even see you or have you record your weight progress. Therefore, I feel LifeMD has the right set-up on follow through and managing GLP-1 support, just needs a more efficient way to manage refill requests. Also, one other area that could be improved is that Life MD weight membership used to cover general health as well. Such as colds and everyday ailments---maintenance for common refills. I utilized this well on one occasion. However, the next time I tried to schedule about anything other than weight loss, they said there was a separate membership or flat chargeable fee in advance to even be able to book the appointment. I feel it would be nice to have been made aware of the change, and there needs to be more transparency in the plans offered or what you're paying for. Expanded support would be attractive to me since the medication membership itself is pricey. Would be great to have access to all telemedical services included in our plan--or one-stop medical service. All in all, I'm still pleased--just hoping operational efficiency improves.
