Declined with no reason — then the CEO stepped in and fixed it

UPDATE (23 September 2026): Resolved after CEO intervention — upgrading my review. My original review below described a KYB decline with no reason given and no path to appeal. After posting it, HitPay's co-founder and CEO Aditya Haripurkar personally reached out, arranged a manual compliance review, and the account was approved within days. Via from the compliance team handled the review professionally. Our account is now live and processing real payments for our Philippine corporation. The only remaining item is the release of the payout hold, which is under final review — I will update this review again once that completes. Fair credit where due: the standard KYB process failed us with zero transparency, but the leadership response was fast, personal, and effective. Four stars for the recovery; the fifth is waiting on payouts. --- ORIGINAL REVIEW (12 September 2026) --- I applied as a newly incorporated Philippine One Person Corporation selling subscription access to a software application for marine engineers. I submitted everything requested: SEC Certificate of Incorporation, Articles of Incorporation, BIR Form 2303, corporate bank account proof, and passport ID as 100% shareholder. Two things worth noting, one good and one not. The good: when the Submit button silently failed, support (Michelle) diagnosed it as an MCC mismatch between my chosen category and my business description, and her suggested fix worked immediately. That was genuinely helpful and quickly handled. The problem: the application was then declined with no reason given. I asked one narrow question — whether the decision related to a known Philippine government database issue affecting my BIR TIN, which I can document with official correspondence from my Revenue District Office and am actively resolving. I also asked whether the account could be reinstated once resolved. Neither question was answered. I received a template reply citing confidentiality and stating no exceptions can be made. Dashboard access was also removed, with no confirmation of whether the account is closed. I understand risk decisions are yours to make and that you cannot disclose underwriting criteria. But there is a difference between not disclosing criteria and not answering whether a specific, documented, fixable issue caused the outcome. Without that, a legitimate registered business has no way to know what to correct before reapplying. Reference: KYB-A2B512CA
