G2G

G2G’s New Seller Funding System Is Unfair and Easily Abused

Extremely poor seller support and a terrible new funding system for sellers. My experience with G2G as a seller has become incredibly frustrating, especially since the changes to how seller funds are reserved and restricted. The biggest problem is that when there is a dispute on one order, G2G can effectively prevent you from accessing money earned from completely unrelated orders. This puts sellers in an extremely vulnerable position. I already experienced this before with a buyer who received working Adobe accounts but still opened multiple tickets against me. Because of those disputes, I was unable to withdraw unrelated money that I had legitimately earned from other completed sales, and around $280 of my funds were also being held. Getting that situation resolved took a very long time and required constant back-and-forth with support. Instead of receiving clear explanations or someone properly investigating the situation, I repeatedly received generic, automated-style responses. Eventually the issue was resolved, but only after an unreasonable amount of effort. Now I am dealing with another similar situation. I fulfilled an order and resolved the issue with the buyer. The buyer closed the dispute. G2G then told me that the order supposedly violated their rules and had to be refunded. I even went into the order myself and submitted the refund request. Yet the buyer still has not received the refund, while the money continues to sit in my Reserved Revenue. So once again, my money is locked. I have already paid the cost of fulfilling the customer, I cannot access the revenue, and the refund that G2G themselves said was required has not even been completed. How is this acceptable? This new funding/reserve system feels extremely unfair to sellers. A problematic buyer or a dispute involving one transaction should not automatically put completely unrelated earnings at risk or prevent a seller from withdrawing money earned from other legitimate completed orders. It creates a system that can easily be abused. A buyer can open disputes or multiple tickets, and while everything is being investigated, the seller can lose access to a significant amount of their own money. Meanwhile, support is one of the most frustrating parts of the entire experience. You explain the situation in detail and receive short, generic responses that often do not address the actual questions. Why is the money still reserved? Why are unrelated earnings restricted? Has the refund actually been processed? When will the hold be removed? What specific rule was violated? How exactly is Seller Protection protecting the seller in situations like this? These are basic questions when a platform is holding someone's money. G2G seems extremely strict and harsh toward sellers when it comes to freezing or reserving funds, yet getting meaningful support when something goes wrong can be painfully difficult. Sellers are the people providing the products and generating transactions for the platform. They should not have to spend days or weeks fighting through automated responses just to understand where their money is. After going through this more than once, I have seriously lost confidence in G2G's seller protection and funding system. If you are considering selling on G2G, be very careful. Understand that a dispute with one buyer may potentially affect your ability to access money from other sales, and if something goes wrong, getting a real human review and a clear resolution can be an exhausting process. This desperately needs to improve.
