Something's not right here
Just purchased a polo shirt which I paid for through PayPal, which amounted to £25.98. Having authorised this payment I then got an email from PayPal thanking me for my order telling me I had spent £31.18, This included £5.20 VAT??? A 2nd email arrived from shopbritstyle included an invoice for the original amount authorised by PayPal. It is NOT shown at the point of purchase that there is an extra 5.20 to pay. They claim it is for VAT. Paypal tells me that a merchant can add "taxes" AFTER you authorise a payment. Not sure a company in China can charge VAT, when they are billing you from china The added amount makes the purchase not good value. Something's not right here.
