Bambu Lab

Bambu Lab expects you, the customer, to do the warranty repairs yourself

A few months ago I bought a Bambu Lab A1 3D printer including the AMS lite system. Unfortunately, after only a few months of ownership and 50 hours of printing time, I have already experienced multiple issues with the printer. I have now been in contact with Bambu Lab support back and forth for more than a month, and have spent a considerable amount of my own time troubleshooting, cleaning, testing and replacing parts per their instructions, in an attempt to get the printer working reliably. To be fair, their support team has been responsive and polite and tried to solve the case. The issue is that they expect you, the customer, to spend countless hours performing extensive troubleshooting and complicated DIY repairs on what is essentially a brand-new 3D printer. All becoming increasingly frustrating when the issues keep persisting. At this point, I haven't been able to use the printer for more than a month and I am still waiting for a proper long-term solution from Bambu Lab. So... If you are like me - a casual user who mainly wants to make the occasional print every other week, then I would not recommend buying a Bambu Lab printer. If you are a 3D-printing enthusiast who enjoys extensive troubleshooting, repairing and tinkering, your experience may be different I would also like to note that I did a lot of research before making the purchase and was influenced by the many reviews describing Bambu Lab as the “Apple of 3D-printing”, with products that “just work”. That comparison has certainly not matched my experience to say the least. I will make sure to update this review if and when the case is ultimately resolved.
