In the past I have enjoyed staying at Best Western in Shallotte. The past two stays have been horrible. Our prior stay the entire hotel smelled like weed and people were very loud. We came back this past Saturday and found the place just nasty. Our floor in our room was so nasty our feet stuck to them. We took a towel and some water and rubbed it on the floor and the towel turned brown. We had crumbs under the edges of the bed and a big wad of hair was laying in the floor. We tried to use the pool and all of the chairs at the pool is ripped up and only one could be used. The pool needed to be vacuumed haf weird debris floating around. The breakfast was not good like it normally is. Left and went to bojangles next door. Not sure what was going on there but it was a disaster also. Just a bad day. The staff said that there had been multiple complaints after a new crew was hired at the hot about the rooms not being clean. Even the floors in the halls throughout the hotel was nasty. I paid around $239 for that disaster.
