Based on my experience, the mortgage team did not appear to work collaboratively; instead, they seemed to operate in silos. Although we submitted all requested documentation promptly, it did not appear to be uploaded or shared in a timely manner. As a result, each person who supported our loan officer during his paternity leave repeatedly requested the same documents that had already been provided, creating unnecessary delays and frustration throughout the process. Additionally, our closing date was postponed because of a requirement that, after conducting my own research, I determined was not actually necessary. When I escalated my concerns to the supervisor, I did not receive a timely response. When the supervisor did respond, the information provided was inaccurate and did not resolve the issue, further contributing to the delay and our overall dissatisfaction with the process.
