Don’t Trust Uphold
Opened an account, funded it with $7,500 of my own money from savings, and did nothing else. No trading, no unusual activity — just funded the account. A few days later, Uphold closed my account and listed vague “reasons” (potential misuse, scam-related signs, unverifiable info) with zero specifics and no path to actually clear my name. When I asked for a manual compliance review, I got a form-letter refusal. Worse: my $7,500 ACH deposit is now being held for 65 days before I can even get my own money back — nearly 10 weeks with no access to funds I never even used. Their own support agents will tell you the fastest way to get your money is to go around Uphold entirely and have your bank recall the transfer. That should tell you everything about how this company treats customers. AVOID!!
