This is an honest review of the Stream Ultra X
This is an honest review, I am not sponsored or affiliated with Ecoflow , all Steam batterys I have bought by myself and like most of you I had to wait for delivery as they are so popular but are worth it. After seeing a video on YouTube with Mr steve jones DIY that the uk was getting Plug in solar I order a Ecoflow Stream Ultra and an ecoflow smart meter and I ordered 4 solar panels from The Plum Centre that Mr steve jones DIY had recommended and I ordered a drum of 50 meters of 4mm solar cable and mc4 plugs from the plum centre. I had a local Electrician install the solar panels run the cables, hard wire the power cable into the consumer box (at the moment it has not been passed just to plug in) and the smart meter and he also changed the consumer boxes the one in the workshop and the one in the house as they all needed changing as they were too old. And put in the BI direction RCD, he also did the g98 form and all other certificates. I have bought an stream Ultra X and a parallel lead so that they can be daisy chained Together and work as one just under 6 kWh. I am so impressed that I’m thinking of ordering another Ulta X as I find that just under 9.2kWh would work great in running our house and especially over the winter months with the 9p per kW overnight charge that at the moment I don’t need as I’m generating 10 kWh per day with just 4 solar panels. Im going to be ordering some more panels next year. Now to Ecoflow customer service which in fair have emailed me back next day and have been very helpful on the phone sorting out some small issue I had. Now the ecoflow app I know that there will be a new one coming out in the next few months but as Mr steve Jones DIY says sits very well made and it gives you all the stats you need, but it does have a little niggle like it shows that the batterys have been disconnected for a few seconds and them come back on, this only happens on my iphone and it works perfectly on my ipad, so work that out. There are new ecoflow battery’s coming out in the next few months, but I’m happy with what I have as I don’t have room vertical and maybe they might bring down the prices to reflect this. There are plenty of videos on YouTube with plenty of advice on installation. These ecoflow batterys come with 10year warranty, so what you waiting for !!
